But fear i think is something that we all come across one way or another, and i think it is important to think about how we respond to it. Of course there is a lot about the situation that causes the fear that will have an effect on how we respond, if we find ourselves in the situation that Andreas Liveras found himself in then the fear would be unthinkable, but if we fear we are going to miss the bus then it will be completely different.
But the one thing that fear does mean is that we are out of control, that we can feel helpless to respond. But what if we are always out of control, what if we hand control of our lives to someone else? Would this allow us to be able to face fear in a different way? Could we conquer fear?
There is an ancient promise of a place where fear is no more
“He’ll wipe every tear from their eyes. Death is gone for good—tears gone, crying gone, pain gone—all the first order of things gone.”
I think that this place exists now and it is ours if we want it to be….
What do you think?
Grace and Peace
